Privacy
A small, plain-English policy.
Alice is a personal project of mine, focused on exploring and developing local-only persistent AI. This page is here to describe the intended handling of information involved when one interacts with Alice or a service powered by her.
What Alice receives
When you use an Alice interface such as a Discord bot, the service may receive the messages, commands, and basic platform information needed to respond and operate the bot.
How information is used
Information is used to provide requested interactions, maintain the software/service, troubleshoot issues, and otherwise improve the project. Alice is NOT intended to sell personal information and does not use conversations for targeted advertising (or advertising at all).
Local processing
Alice is designed around local-first inference. Depending on the interface and configuration, some information may be processed by third-party platforms or infrastructure services required to deliver that interface. The exact data flow may change as the project evolves.
Retention
Retention depends on the particular Alice service and its current configuration. Do not send Alice information you would not want a personal experimental service to handle.
