Local first
Where practical, Alice runs on hardware I control and does not scale beyond what is needed.
Alice is a local AI assistant built to explore what happens when an AI Agent, constrained by the limits of a reasonable gaming PC, is given the ability to remember, use tools, and gradually adapt through her own persistent understanding - without resorting to cloud services or depending on massive, energy-intensive models. A private yet capable system that gradually improves.
Alice is an experiment about trying to build a capable local-scale AI Agent framework with persistent and adaptive knowledge.
She runs locally, works with persistent files and tools, and is being built incrementally.
The goal: build something useful, give her room to remember and reflect, and see where that leads within a controlled local environment
Where practical, Alice runs on hardware I control and does not scale beyond what is needed.
Having more information isn't the same as knowing what to do with it. Alice is being shaped around judgment, usefulness, and honest uncertainty.
This is not intended to claim that Alice is "the future of AI". She's a working experiment, built one practical improvement at a time.
Everything from the architecture, models, memory systems, and interaction interfaces are subject to change as I learn my way through this project.
A Discord bot interface provides a simple yet effective means of experimenting and interacting with Alice and eventually allowing others to meet and interact with her. She is still a personal project, not a commercial service, and will not be available everywhere.
